Total Commander is an Android application for accessing the main storage of a smartphone or tablet. This utility is a port of the famous orthodox file manager of the same name with a 30 year history.
Any version of the Android operating system has its own built in app for working with files and folders in the internal memory. However, Total Commander offers a number of additional features that are absent in the default file manager.
Firstly, this application brings the full spectrum of essential functions. You can copy, paste, move, delete and rename files. Secondly, you may select and unselect single items as well as groups of them. Thirdly, a special integrated tool is able to zip, unzip and unrar archives.
Total Commander is an orthodox file manager brought to the mobile platform. That means the app has a famous two panel view. If the resolution of the screen is not enough for comfortable work, one side becomes virtual.
Additionally, the utility supports plugins that extend its functionality even further. For example, there is an FTP client, a list of installed apps, LAN access and many more. All popular cloud services like Google Drive and Dropbox are also supported with their respective extensions.
