Google News is an Android application that allows users to read world articles and news from different mass media companies.
Subscribers stay up-to-date on breaking news from their favorite magazines, newspapers and websites. Users choose media companies they need and receive daily round-ups from them. The news line is updated every hour.
Google News has 3 main sections: Headlines, Following and Newsstand. The first one is a popular stories format. Users can keep abreast of the latest news in politics, business and entertainment. Also, if you provide access to your current location, you can read local articles.
The following section allows you to personalize the news feed and choose categories, sources, locations to see more stories about them. It is possible to select specific fields – sports, technology, fashion and other narrowly focused topics. There is also an option to save the news to read it later.
Newsstand has collected a large number of articles from mass media companies that you can follow. All sources here are categorized: news and politics, scientific exploration, lifestyle stories and inspiration and so on. You will find lots of TV channels and news sites, magazines and newspapers. There is both a free subscription and a paid one with a 14 day trial period.
