CA Notify

CA Notify is an application for Android that provides citizens of the state of California with the ability to get notifications about the risk of getting infected with COVID 19.

How it works

The app is developed by CA Dept of Technology and supported by the California Department of Public Health. So it is an official utility just like COVID Alert NY and other analogues with similar functionality. 

In order to use this application, you have to provide it with access to the location of your mobile devices. Also, it is necessary to turn on Bluetooth. 

When you meet a person who has coronavirus, the utility automatically sends you a notification. It is completely anonymous and you do not get access to any personal information of other users.

Moreover, you can upload the result of your test for COVID 19 if it is positive. This will allow you to warn people who you have contacted recently.

CA Notify also provides you with the guidelines in case you get infected. It is possible to find helpful information about the disease or contact a hospital.
