AbemaTV is an application for Android that allows you to watch programmes from Japanese TV online.

Streaming platform

The app provides you with the ability to browse various topical channels and watch shows, animations, series and sports events. It has functions similar to utilities like PeacockTV. However, there is only content from the Japanese television available.

It is also worth mentioning that there is no English language but developers promise to add it soon enough. If you do not know Japanese it is better to find some other app, as this one can be hard to navigate.

You can search for various channels and titles by entering keywords. Featured and new content is also shown to you on the home screen.

The app has a lot of free content that you can watch without creating a personal profile. You are also able to complete the registration procedure and purchase the subscription to open access to more channels.

There is the ability to connect it with your PC or TV and watch videos on a big screen as well. You will need the WiFi for this purpose.
